In 2017, Xequals saw an opportunity to create a tool that would make it easy for voters in New Zealand to compare the policies of political parties during the general election campaign. The resulting Policy tool was a huge success, with tens of thousands of unique users accessing it over the course of the campaign.
In New Zealand's general election campaign of 2017, there was a need for a comprehensive and easy-to-use platform for comparing political party policies.
